Special Topics of Ground Improvement
Outline: Soil improvement refers to the process of enhancing the engineering properties of soft soil to increase its stability. This is typically achieved through physical or chemical methods to improve the soil's bearing capacity, reduce settlement, enhance liquefaction resistance, and more.
Object: Students enrolled in this course can gain knowledge related to soil improvement by reading selected articles, writing case study reports, discussing books and newspapers, and visiting sites.
行動目的
This course aims to cultivate students’ understanding and application of theories and techniques related to ground improvement. Through diverse learning activities such as literature review, case analysis, book and article discussions, and field visits, students will acquire knowledge of methods for enhancing the engineering properties of soft soils and develop the ability to analyze and solve problems related to ground stability.
